Booking conditions

Letting period

  1. Unless otherwise agreed Arlunfa is let on a weekly basis. Bookings start on a Saturday and run until the following Saturday. Arrival time is from 4pm on the day of arrival and departure time is before 11am on the day of departure.
  2. Prices are inclusive of water, electricity, oil, wood for wood-burning stove/open fire, bed-linens and household towels.
  3. We ask for a housekeeping deposit of £200 which will be held against any damages or items missing from the premises. This will be refunded once housekeeping has been through the house.
  4. Keys will be provided to you by our housekeeper on the first day of your holiday period. Please return them on the date of departure.

Bookings

  1. We will hold provisional bookings for a maximum of 7 days. Confirmation must be received within that period by sending a deposit amounting to 25% of the total booking value.
  2. The balance of a booking must be received at least 4 weeks prior to the holiday start date, along with £200 housekeeping deposit. For bookings at short notice the full balance is due within 7 days of the booking.
  3. We reserve the right to cancel the booking if the full payment is not received as stated.

Cancellations

  1. Our cancellation policy is based on the fact that most people plan their holidays months in advance. Should you need to cancel your holiday two months before your holiday starts, we will refund all money paid minus £50.00 administration fee. If you cancel less than two months before your holiday starts, the deposit and any other monies paid (minus £50.00) will only be refunded if we are able to re-let Arlunfa for the period.

Housekeeping

  1. Clients must comply with the instructions found in the welcome folder. This particularly applies to the appropriate use of the open fire, wood-burning stove and hot water/central heating system at Arlunfa.
  2. Clients agree to leave the property in a clean and tidy condition.
  3. We reserve the right to charge for any damage to Arlunfa or breakage of any item of contents. We also reserve the right to apply an additional cleaning charge (within reason) to cover the expense of any additional, unusual cleaning that may be required.

Other

  1. The proprietors cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to any belongings, or for death or injury sustained by visitors during their stay at Arlunfa.
  2. No sub-letting will be allowed and numbers cannot exceed the numbers agreed.
  3. Smoking is not permitted.
  4. House and garden are not child-proof, and some of Arlunfa’s features may make it unsuitable for toddlers/young children. Please be aware of this when you consider renting and contact us beforehand.
  5. There is no Value Added Tax chargeable on the quoted tariff.

Any exceptions or alternative arrangements must be agreed at the time of booking and confirmed by us in writing in your booking confirmation.
