The garden
Arlunfa has a large private garden complete with orchard, lawn and many different places to sit. In spring, daffodils and primroses create a profusion of colour, whilst summer is the time for breakfast on the terrace, barbecues and mild evenings to watch the dusk turn to dark. In autumn the apples are waiting to be picked from the trees and woodsmoke drifts down into the orchard, and in winter there may just be the odd day of frost to paint everything in a silvery sparkle.
- Parking for 3 cars
- Veranda and terrace equipped with table, benches and deck chairs
- 5 min. to the beach
- 15 min. walk to the nearest post office and shop
- Bus to Beaumaris stops right outside the house
The house is oriented to make the most of the ever-changing view across the water. Sometimes, if the wind is right, you can hear the sound of the lighthouse bell at Penmon Point, although the most common voices are those of the sheep and cattle in the fields all around. If you like cooking, you’re welcome to help yourself to the herbs that have been planted below the kitchen window and in other locations around the garden.
Step out of the garden and you’re only five minutes from the nearest beach, a great place for birds and for taking a quick dip at high tide. Llangoed is the nearest village with a shop and post office, and is about 15 minutes walk away.
